CCOO denuncia la parálisis en la estabilización y contrataciones a dedo en Cantur

Comisiones Obreras has denounced on Friday the «paralysis» in the stabilization processes and the «return to handpicked hiring» at the public company Cantur.
In a statement, the Federation of Services to the Citizenry of CCOO has explained that, despite the publication of 122 positions in the Official Gazette of Cantabria (BOC) — 88 corresponding to the stabilization process and 34 to the replacement rate of 2023 — the Government of Cantabria «is unable to move forward with these procedures, blocking the closure of a process that is essential to provide job stability to the workforce.»
The Federation has criticized that this «inaction» not only «perpetuates the precariousness» of dozens of workers, but also hinders the creation of employment pools for temporary hirings with objective, transparent, and fair criteria. «By not activating these pools, the door is reopened to handpicked hirings, as is the case at the public company Cantur, which were already denounced during the previous government.»
In this regard, the CCOO delegate in Cantur, Guillermo Villegas, has stated that «we are clearly seeing how the same labor corruption is being repeated in the Liébana area, where these practices are becoming normalized.»
He has denounced that, despite a Supreme Court ruling that declared null the changes in category of a person to hospitality supervisor, that person continues to perform those functions and to this day the position has not been announced. For the union, this demonstrates «a total lack of political will to professionalize and regularize the workforce.»
SABOTAGE IN CABÁRCENO AND VEHICLE SALES
On another note, Villegas has also pointed out that the union has requested information on several occasions about the alleged sabotages suffered by vehicles at the Cabárceno Nature Park, as well as about the sale of vehicles, without having received the documentation or any official response despite the federation’s efforts, which will take «stronger measures» if the silence continues, he has warned. A «worrying lack of transparency» on an issue «that directly affects the safety and internal functioning of the park,» he emphasized.
«Meanwhile, Cantur and, consequently, the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Sport are diverting attention from the real internal problems and focusing their efforts on dismissing officials, such as the recent dismissal of the Human Resources director,» Villegas pointed out.
Therefore, the union has demanded that the aforementioned Department «assume their political and administrative responsibility, unblock the already published processes, convene the pending positions, and comply with judicial resolutions.»
CCOO will continue to use all legal and union channels to ensure the stability, transparency, and labor rights of the staff, the CCOO delegate affirmed.
