Detenido joven de 24 años por amenazas y faltas de respeto a su madre de 62
The Local Police of Santander has arrested a 24-year-old young man for alleged domestic violence after his 62-year-old mother reported him for continuous threats and lack of respect.
The woman went to the Local Police station on Monday at noon to report that she was «regularly suffering threats and lack of respect from her son.»
Police officers proceeded to arrest the suspect and initiated legal proceedings for a domestic violence offense.
Subsequently, the woman has been assisted by officers belonging to the Victims Protection Unit (OPROVIC) of the Local Police of Santander.
ROAD SAFETY AND COLLISIONS
On the other hand, the Local Police has opened an investigation for a traffic safety offense against a 66-year-old woman who collided with her car against two parked motorcycles on Candina Avenue on Monday afternoon while reversing.
The officers who arrived at the scene conducted a breathalyzer test on the woman, who exceeded the allowed alcohol limit, so they initiated legal proceedings for driving under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle was towed by a municipal crane to the Ojaiz Municipal Deposit.
Likewise, legal proceedings have been initiated for a traffic safety offense against a 33-year-old man who was intercepted last night on Gerardo de Alvear Street driving irregularly and who had never obtained a driver’s license.
Local Police officers also intervened on Monday in two traffic accidents, one involving a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Candina, where a 47-year-old motorcyclist was injured; and another collision between a car and a motorcycle on Repuente Street, where the motorcycle passenger, a 13-year-old girl, was injured.
In both accidents, the injured parties were attended by 061 ambulances. In the first case, the injured person was taken to Valdecilla Hospital to receive medical treatment for their injuries, while the minor went to a healthcare center on their own to be treated.
