Santander ofrece más de 200 plazas para actividades de ‘Primavera Activa’ en vacaciones.

The Santander City Council, through the Municipal Sports Institute (IMD), will offer more than 200 spots in six different activities this year as part of the ‘Primavera Activa’ program. Five of these activities will take place during the Easter school holidays and will consist of camps and courses from April 21 to 25, along with a climbing course with two editions, one in May and the other in June.

The Sports Councilor, Beatriz Pellón, presented this program on Wednesday, aimed at children and young people aged between 3 and 16 years old, aiming to facilitate personal and work-life balance for families during school holidays.

The camps will provide a free daycare service, operating from 8:00 to 10:00, to accommodate families’ work schedules during the school holiday period.

Registrations can be made from Tuesday, April 1, until Friday, April 11, either through the website www.santanderdeportes.com or in person at the sports schools’ offices, from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 14:30 and from 18:00 to 20:00. Registration will be direct until spots are filled.

COURSES AND CAMPS FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEK

Five of the activities included in the ‘Primavera Activa’ program will take place during the Easter school holiday week.

The Multisport Campus, aimed at children between 6 and 16 years old, will cover various sports disciplines such as football, basketball, hockey, athletics, handball, or tennis, providing comprehensive training through learning and skill enhancement in each sport. It will be held at the Ruth Beitia Municipal Complex from 10:00 to 14:00.

Also at the Complex, from 10:00 to 14:00, the Mini Multisport Campus will be held for children aged 3 to 5, where they can enjoy different sports and games.

Additionally, a weekly canoeing course will take place during the holidays from 10:00 to 12:00 at the San Martín Promontory, aimed at children aged 8 to 16. There will also be a climbing course for children aged 8 to 16 at the Complex’s climbing wall from 12:00 to 14:00, and a modern dance course for children aged 6 to 16 from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Ruth Beitia Complex fronton.

Participants will be provided with the necessary equipment for all activities.

Finally, weekend climbing courses have been scheduled, with two sessions taking place on May 17, 18, 24, 25, and June 7, 8, 14, 15. These courses will be held at the Complex’s climbing wall from 10:30 to 12:30 on Saturdays and Sundays, and are aimed at children aged 8 to 16.
